Nick is a second-generation financial advisor and a Certified Financial Planner Professional (CFP®). Nick is dedicated to helping clients bring clarity and focus to their financial strategies. Nick joined the Philippi/Ryan group in 2017 and believes his diverse background serves as an ideal foundation for his work as a financial advisor.

After receiving his Bachelor in Science from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, Nick served nine years in the Marine Corps as a UH-1Y helicopter pilot. During his service, Nick was responsible for leading aircraft and Marines though challenging and unfamiliar territory, managing risk, and accomplishing the mission. In many ways, this still describes Nick's work as he develops financial plans and guides clients to help them meet their personal and financial goals.

Prior to joining Eric and Dan, Nick received his Masters of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management. At MIT, Nick completed the Sloan Finance Track and was also a Co-President of the Sloan Veterans Club and Sloan Ice Hockey Club.

Nick, his wife Katie, and their two daughters Charlotte and Ellie, live in the South End of Boston. Nick describes himself a persistent golfer, rusty hockey player, novice surfer, avid Boston Sports fan, and a Golden Retriever enthusiast.


Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
